Our pattern shop has total in-house capability to work to customer requirements. Linked to 11,000sq ft of pattern storage, we can keep your investment safe, and in good order.

Our moulding system takes advantage of the latest sand technology available to reduce the impact on the environment while still enabling some of the older skills to be used on specialist projects for casting from 1kg to 8000kg depending on metal type.

All castings are manufactured from various sand moulding processes which are carefully selected taking into consideration the quantity, material, size and application of the final component. Both box and boxless moulding methods are frequently used with a wide range of boxes held in stock.

The melting department is equipped with the latest induction melting furnaces coupled with an optical emission spectrometer to control the metal composition to the relevant standard. Metals produced are: Grey Iron, Ductile Iron, Alloyed Irons, Ni-hards, Ni-resists, Carbon Steels and Stainless Steels.

Each grade of metal is manufactured and produced as per British standards or to customer specific grades which can be traced to source and certified if required.

We are normally able to work from existing patterns but also offer a complete pattern making service if required.
